Clubs

Classical Music Club

The Classical Music Club strives to augment an interest in classical music, and to create a community of students who love classical music. Events include guest presentations on composers and works as well as performances by visiting and on-campus artists. The Club also sends small groups of students of all majors to perform at nursing homes in the South Bend community, and hosts weekly discussions over selected pieces of music. Membership is open to students of all majors, and no previous experience in classical music is required!

Composers' Consortium of Notre Dame (CoCoND)

The Composers' Consortium of Notre Dame (CoCoND) seeks to provide opportunities for students to express their creativity via academically informed musical composition in the classical style, and establish a space in which mutual critique and support among student composers is both encouraged and celebrated. We also intend to cultivate a tradition of collaboration among aspiring composers, performers, and faculty by producing concerts in which original student works are performed in a public forum. Membership is open to all students demonstrating a strong interest in exploring creative composition in a professional context.
