Fall Lessons

Time: A regular, weekly lesson time will be scheduled in accordance with available slots for both the instructor and student. Instructors will email students their lesson times before their first lesson will take place. Due to needing to sanitize rooms and allow for space and air circulation lesson locations may vary during the first few weeks while we work to meet everyone's scheduling needs and keep everyone safe. 

Lesson fee policy

Music performance majors qualify for a 100% discount on weekly one-hour applied music lessons on their primary instrument. They can take a secondary lesson for full price. Academic Music majors qualify for a 50% discount on instrumental or vocal lessons. If they elect to study a second instrument, those lessons are full price. Music Minors and Musical Theatre Minors receive 6 credits of lessons free of charge to help fulfill their minors.  Liturgical Music Ministry Minors receive 2 credits free of charge to help fulfill their minor. Credit for music lessons is only available toward degree requirements. Non-major lessons hold no credit value. 

Applied music lessons are available for all students, including non-majors, for a fee. The fee is charged to the student’s account, and no refunds are made after the first lesson.  Music lessons for credit are only available toward degree requirements. Non-major lessons hold no credit value. 

Lessons for majors studying abroad

The Department of Music offers support for students to continue taking lessons while studying abroad.
