Zachary Hunter

Biography

Zac is the Production Manager for the College of Arts & Letters at the University of Notre Dame, overseeing productions for the Department of Film, Television, and Theatre, Opera ND, and The Shakespeare Festival. A well-rounded manager, designer, and technician with over 17 years of experience in professional technical theatre. Zac graduated with a B.A in Theatre with a focus on Design and Technical Theatre. During his tenure at the Phoenix Theatre, he helped design and transition to a new, state-of-the-art $12MM+ facility. He also conceived and implemented "The Park at the Phoenix," a $300k+ outdoor venue in response to the COVID pandemic. Zac also created and piloted a two-year career development program for young theatre professionals.

He has contributed to regional productions for Phoenix Theatre, Actors Theatre of Indiana, Indianapolis Shakespeare Company, Actors Ink, American Lives Theatre, Summit Performance Indianapolis, Wabash College, and Bethel University. Recent design credits include Berlin Diaries (Set Design), Tick Tick Boom (Set Design), Wild Horses (Set Design), Annie (Set Design), and The Agitators (Light Design).
