Lisa Faletto

Biography

Lisa Faletto’s vocal career encompasses opera, musical theater, choral music and the concert stage. Comfortable in both musical theater and opera, she performed the role of Carlotta Giudacelli in the Broadway National Tour of The Phantom of the Opera, and performed in the Canadian and National Tour of The Sound of Music with Maria Osmond.

Lisa has performed with the Lyric Opera of Chicago and is an alumnus of the prestigious Ryan Opera Center. She has sung roles with the Lyric Opera Center, Milwaukee Opera, Orlando Opera, Hinsdale Opera, Chicago Chamber Opera and Lincoln Opera. Some of her favorite operatic roles include the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute, Violetta in La Traviata, Countess in The Marriage of Figaro, Musetta in La Boheme, and Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi.

In choral music, Lisa has performed with the Chicago Symphony Chorus and Ravinia Festival. She has also been music director for over a dozen musical theater productions and has done choral conducting in Virginia and throughout the Midwest.

Balancing performance with a teaching career, Lisa returned to the University of Notre Dame in 2025 to resume teaching voice. Previously, she has been on the faculty of Purdue University and Lake Michigan College, teaching and developing courses in music appreciation, opera and musical theater history and performance, and teaching high school choral music in Northwest Indiana.

Lisa is committed to helping singers develop a reliable and healthy vocal technique as well as building confidence and artistry so they can embrace the joy of singing and performing.
