ND Music Majors Admitted to Competitive National and International Summer Programs

Several current music majors, in performance and composition, were admitted to competitive festivals which take place during 2017 Summer. In addition to many performing opportunities, these students will also study with renowned faculty from other universities and conservatories, and collaborate with other advanced performers from around the world.   Zhengyi Zhang, piano performance '18, was admitted to the prestigious Brevard Music Center in North Carolina, and the International Keyboard Institute and Festival in New York City.  Alex Mansour, '19, will attend the renowned Atlantic Music Festival in Waterville, Maine, where he will study composition with several celebrated composers.  Audrey Steiner, piano performance '20, was admitted to the International Music Festival of the Adriatic, located in Duino, Italy; and to the Apple Hill Center For Chamber Music, in Keene, New Hampshire. Travon DeLeon, violin performance '20, was admitted to the summer string program at NYU's Steinhardt School, in New York City.  Kelvin Wu, piano performance '19, will attend both the Brevard Music Center and the International Music Festival of the Adriatic.
