Trent Clark Leipert’s research focuses on digital media practices, music analysis, and questions surrounding subjectivity and technology in electronic, popular, and concert repertoires of the last fifty years. He holds a PhD from the University of Chicago (Music History & Theory) and has published in the journals Contemporary Music ReviewOpera Quarterly, and Twentieth-Century Music; and in the collected volumes Music in Contemporary Philosophy and The Routledge Research Companion to Modernism in Music. He has been awarded fellowships from the Social Sciences & Humanities Research Council of Canada, the Paul Sacher Stiftung, and the Deutsche Akademische Austauschdienst. He is also active as an electronic musician/producer and interdisciplinary arts curator.
