Tony Kamnikar was the Education and Community Programs Manager for the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra and is a free-lance oboist. Originally from Colorado, he earned his bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University, where he studied with Scott Bell and Carolyn Hove.  He received his master’s degree from Mannes College of Music where he studied with Linda Strommen.  He was the English horn/3rd oboist with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic from 1999-2009.  He has played with the Indianapolis Symphony, Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, Indianapolis Opera, and other orchestras. He also was on faculty at I.P.F.W.  He is currently the Director of Operations for the South Bend Symphony Orchestra.
