Music of J.S. Bach—also Bach's music as transcribed by Robert Schumann, Johannes Brahms, Ferruccio Busoni and Gyorgy Kurtag.Limited on-stage salon seating for an exceptional opportunity. Best for ages 5+. No late seating.

The timeless work of J.S. Bach, more than any other individual, has had perhaps the most pervasive influence on the course of music itself. Inspiring so many future creators of music throughout the centuries, from his direct "descendants" all the way up to jazz artists of our time, it is difficult to think of any composer untouched by his vision.

In a varied program of string and piano music tracing this influence and honoring this true beacon, ensembleND presents a series of Bach's works as explored and transcribed by important composers of several more recent eras (Schumann, Brahms, Kurtag, Busoni), shedding light on both the pure message of Bach's music itself, and on the fascination that so many other great composers had (and continue to have) with his mastery.
