Praised by the Washington Post for their "sensitivity, virtuosity, and imagination", longtime duo-partners Jennifer Frautschi and John Blacklow
have been performing together for over twenty years, in celebrated venues including Palais des Beaux Arts in Brussels, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Musikverein in Vienna, Wigmore Hall in London, Mozarteum in Salzburg, and Cite de la Musique in Paris. They have been featured on Carnegie Hall's "Distinctive Debuts" series, and on NPR's "Performance Today."
In the new LaBar Recital Hall at Notre Dame, Frautschi and Blacklow will perform J.S. Bach's Sonata in E major for violin and piano, BWV 1016; Haydn's Variations in F minor Hob.XVII:6; and Beethoven's Sonata No. 7 in C minor, Op. 30 No. 2.
