Douglas Reed, organ recital


Location: Basilica of the Sacred Heart

Douglas Reed, visiting/adjunct professor of organ at Notre Dame (2016-17), will perform music by Olivier Messiaen, Johannes Brahms, and William Albright (De Spiritum, 1980). Eric Reed, horn, will join his father to perform compositions by Robert Schumann, Naji Hakim, and William Albright (Romance, 1981). Douglas Reed is a professor emeritus of music and university organist emeritus at the University of Evansville. He also served as an adjunct professor of organ at Indiana University (2015-16). A former member of the Canadian Brass, Eric Reed now performs with the American Brass Quintet, in residence at the Juilliard School of Music.
