Email: kschill1@nd.edu
Korin Schilling received a BA in music (flute performance) from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota, where he graduated cum laude. He has been a member of the South Bend Symphony since 1975 and is a former member of the Elkhart Symphony. He occasionally plays in other area orchestras, and does other free-lance playing. He was involved in former area groups such as the Michiana New Music Ensemble and Indiana Opera North.
Mr. Schilling has been an adjunct faculty instructor of flute at Notre Dame since 1984 and St. Mary's College since 1999. He also has taught at Andrews University (Berrien Springs, Michigan).
In pursuit of his long-time interest in baroque music and performance practice, Schilling continues his study of the traverso (baroque flute) and can introduce the one-keyed flute to interested students.
