Edward Randles is Principal Double Bass with the South Bend Symphony Orchestra. He also performs as a member of the Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra and in numerous chamber ensembles throughout the northern Indiana area. In addition he has performed with the Kalamazoo Symphony (MI), Ft. Wayne Philharmonic (IN), Southwest Michigan Symphony, and Illinois Philharmonic. He teaches privately and is a member of the adjunct faculties at the University of Notre Dame and Indiana University at South Bend. He received his Bachelor of Music in Performance from Boston University School of Music and his Master of Music in Performance from New England Conservatory. His teachers have included Henry Portnoi and Lawrence Wolfe. He has also stuidied with Bruce Bransby, Paul Ellison, Allen Dennis, David Cobb and David Walters. He will be joining the adjunct faculty at the music department of Andrews University this Fall. He has attended the Aspen Music Festival, the Music Accademy of the West, the Waterloo Music Festival and the Boris Goldovksy Opera Workshop.
