A native of Pennsylvania, Ms. Inglefield has lived in this area since 1988, and is a long-standing member of several local performing organizations. Among these groups are Southwestern Michigan Symphony (St. Joseph/Benton Harbor, MI), where she plays fourth horn, and the Elkhart County Symphony Orchestra, where she is Principal Horn. Debra also plays Principal Horn and is a frequent soloist with the Elkhart Municipal Band, and has worked as a free-lance musician all around Michiana. She has also appeared in several solo recitals.

In addition to teaching horn at Notre Dame, Ms. Inglefield is an Associate Faculty member at Indiana University South Bend, and has a large private horn studio with students ranging from elementary through college, and even a few senior citizens. Many of her students have performed with the Indiana All-State Band and Orchestra, often as principal players. Several have also gone on to major in music at Ball State University, Berklee College of Music, and Brandeis University, among others.

"A recent highlight for me was my participation in the Barry Tuckwell Institute where I performed in recitals as a soloist and as a member of several groups. I also played in master classes for Mr. Tuckwell, David Krehbiel, Robert Routch, and other horn players from major orchestras."
